Job summary

Kids for the Future in Snyder, TX is seeking an Apprentice Lineman. This entry-level role supports construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead distribution systems at outdoor job sites, with travel as needed. You will work safely, climb structures, and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.

No prior experience required; training provided. Must pass background and physical exams; CDL may be preferred later.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class A CDL preferred but not required; must obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Background, MVR check, pre-employment drug screen, and physical examination required.
• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and compliance while performing overhead line work and maintenance.
• Assist in stringing overhead wires, poles, transformers, and other equipment.
• Handle electrical components, replace fuses, and clear faulted circuits as directed.
• Maintain company vehicles and tools; report issues promptly.
• Work outdoors in varying weather, sometimes at heights, with PPE.
