Job summary

Kids for the Future in Texas seeks a Class C Lineman - Overhead to join our electrical distribution team. This semi-skilled role supports construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead systems across varied locations with safety as a priority.

Requirements include a minimum of four years of field experience, the ability to read and communicate in English, and to obtain a CDL permit within 60 days (CDL preferred). You must lift 50 lbs, travel as needed, and work overtime when required.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Minimum four years of recent field experience.
• Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days (CDL preferred).
• Able to travel long distances on short notice and work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Work safely on construction, maintenance, or repair of energized overhead distribution systems.
• Set poles and anchors; install transformers, switches, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot primary and secondary systems; replace fuses and clear faults.
• Capable of working at heights and in confined spaces; maintain vehicles and tools.
