Job summary

EZARC is seeking motivated individuals to join its Apprenticeship Program aimed at becoming certified Journeyman Ironworkers (JIW). You will train under seasoned professionals, learn to read construction drawings, and participate in the layout and erection of structural steel.

The role emphasizes safety culture, quality checks, and progressive certification in welding (AWS D1.1/D1.3) and OSHA 10 after probation. Training covers rigging, hoisting, and precision assembly on diverse projects.

Qualifications

Education or experience in structural welding, manufacturing, or related fields preferred.
Familiarity with steel fabrication and welding tools and procedures.
Familiarity with shop drawings and engineering blueprints.
OSHA/Safety certifications are a plus.
Reliable transportation to/from work.

Responsibilities

Assist in following the EZARC apprenticeship program to become Journeyman Ironworker.
Learn to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
Assist with layout and erection of structural steel components.
Work with experienced ironworkers to verify materials, measurements, and specs.
Support rigging and hoisting of steel members and material handling.
Learn cutting, welding, fitting, bolting, and decking installation; perform high and tight work.
Operate power tools and aerial lifts as trained; maintain safety practices and quality checks.
