Job summary

EZARC is seeking motivated individuals to join its Apprenticeship Program to become certified Journeyman Ironworkers (JIW). The role involves learning to read construction drawings and assisting with the layout, erection, and joining of structural steel components on construction sites.

Apprentices will work under Journeyman Ironworkers, gain hands-on experience, and progress through safety, welding, and fabrication trainings while meeting OSHA 10 requirements after probation.

Qualifications

• Prefer background in structural welding, manufacturing, or related fields.
• Familiarity with steel fabrication & welding tools and procedures preferred.
• Familiarity with shop drawings, engineering blueprints and schematics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow EZARC apprenticeship program to become Journeyman Ironworker.
• Learn to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Assist with layout & erection of Structural steel and related materials.
• Work with Journeyman Ironworker to verify material, measurements, and specs before starting work.
• Assist with rigging and hoisting of steel members and loading/unloading materials.
• Learn cutting, welding, fitting, bolting, fastening of steel members and install decking.
