Job summary

NorthEast News is seeking a field technician to assist residential and commercial customers with new and existing Internet installs, transfers, disconnects, and service calls. You will work in diverse environments, potentially outdoors, and participate in on-call rotations.

The role requires ability to lift 50 pounds, work aloft when needed, and follow PPE guidelines. Training will cover all aspects of Internet operations and ongoing safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to engage in training to become self-sufficient.
• Some proficiency with tools and equipment related to the job.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work within the scheduled time frame (installs, disconnects, service calls).
• Be part of an on-call rotation.
• Submit all customer work orders and install quotes daily.
• Work in all weather conditions and lift/move objects over 50 pounds; may work aloft.
• Receive training in all areas of Internet operations.
• Multitask, work under stress, and collaborate with others.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• Accept additional duties to maintain Internet operations and services.
• Follow PPE guidelines (boots, hardhats, gloves, safety glasses, body harnesses).
