Job summary

Nextlink Internet is seeking a Field Installation Technician to perform on-site installations, service visits, and equipment recovery at customer locations. You will survey sites, diagnose issues, mount equipment on rooftops, and configure routers for Internet access in outdoor environments.

The role requires climbing, lifting up to 60 pounds, and working outdoors in varying weather. A valid driver's license and pass of background screening are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and technical ability.
• Must pass drug screening and criminal background check.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Able to climb rooftops and work at heights.
• Able to lift 60 pounds or more.

Responsibilities

• Perform site surveys for potential customers to evaluate serviceability.
• Diagnose customer problems at service calls and restore functional service.
• Install new customers with Internet service and mount equipment.
• Configure routers and customer computers for access to Internet services.
• Perform equipment upgrades for existing customers.
• On-site troubleshooting and other duties as assigned.
