Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Finish Carpenter to join our team in the Shakopee, MN area. The role focuses on finish carpentry installations on remodeled and newly built units and requires assisting journeyman carpenters with light carpentry tasks on site.

The candidate will perform demolition, frame walls, install cabinets, doors, and windows, and handle trim and baseboard work, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and a permanent onsite position in Shakopee, MN.

Qualifications

• 6 months of construction experience.
• Experience working on commercial projects.
• Experience with trim, baseboards, window casings, framing, window installation, cabinet installation, stairs/railing experience.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform finish carpentry installations on remodels and new builds.
• Assist journeyman-level carpenters and perform light carpentry as directed.
• Perform demolition and frame walls as needed.
• Hang cabinets, doors, and windows.
• Install trim and baseboards and other finish carpentry tasks.

Description:

The candidate will need to be willing to perform finish carpentry installations on remodeled/newly built construction units. This carpenter will help assist journeyman-level carpenters and perform light carpentry as directed. The candidate will perform demolition, frame walls, and hang cabinets, doors, and windows. The candidate will also perform other finish carpentry tasks, including trim and baseboards.

Work Environment:

• Monday - Friday 8 a.m.- 4:30 pm (straight 40 hours)
• Will have a foreman on site, along with two other carpenters.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Shakopee, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
