Penn United Technologies, Inc. is hiring for an Apprentice Electroplating Technician in Cabot, PA. This full-time, three-year in-house certificate program combines on-the-job training with classroom instruction to build a career in precision manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical, mechanical and math ability.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Able to rotate shifts (day, afternoon, midnight).
• Able to lift 40 lbs. and stand/walk for 8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Work on the plating shop floor to learn required tasks.
• Attend apprenticeship classes on site.
• Manage plating lines: setup, plating, inspection, and parts prep for shipping.
• Minimize setup and maintenance time.
• Maintain job tracking system and inventories.
• Follow safety and quality plans and production schedules.
• Rotate weekly among daylight, afternoon and midnight shifts.
