Job summary

DP Electric is seeking Apprentice Electricians for Texas worksites, progressing through four levels (Apprentice I–IV) under journeyman supervision. You will gain hands-on skills in wiring, conduit, and electrical systems, with safety first and ample mentorship.

In this field-based role, you’ll learn under experienced electricians on commercial and industrial sites across Texas, with the chance to pursue our DP University apprenticeship path.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current Texas Apprentice Electrician license (TDLR) in good standing.
• Enrollment in or willingness to join a certified electrical apprenticeship program.
• A strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Prior commercial electrical experience required for advanced levels; Apprentice I is entry level.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on active sites.
• Bend and install conduit, including EMT, rigid, and PVC.
• Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams under supervision.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and propose solutions.
• Follow safety regulations and conduct inspections for compliance.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and proper tool usage.
• Coordinate with other trades to keep project on schedule.
• Participate in training and mentorship to grow skills.
• Maintain records of work performed and materials used.
