This Appraiser II position with the Florida Department of Revenue sits in the Property Tax Oversight Program, overseeing 67 elected property appraisers statewide. Strong writing and communication are essential. Candidates should have 2+ years of appraisal experience, proficiency in MS Office, and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of single-property or mass appraisal experience including inspecting and valuing real properties.
• Experience collecting and analyzing large quantities of sale, income, and expense data.
• Experience with Word and Excel to compile, interpret, analyze, and display validation data.
• Experience in applying multiple approaches to value and appraisal methodology.

Responsibilities

• Appraise real property to determine its just market value for assessment purposes per guidelines.
• Conduct field inspections of real property, written USPAP-compliant reports, verify sales, collect data and interview relevant parties.
