Job summary

CarMax Houston is seeking an Appraisal Specialist to deliver outstanding customer experiences and guide customers through the appraisal process with professionalism. You will engage with diverse customers, explain offers, and help drive store appraisal goals in a fast-paced environment.

You will input data accurately, follow EH&S requirements, and maintain a clean work area while wearing CarMax-provided attire. This role offers commission eligibility and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service throughout interactions.
• Build rapport with customers and explain the appraisal process.
• Communicate effectively in-person and by phone to understand motivations and follow up with undecided sellers.
• Advocate for CarMax and explain why we’re the smart choice for selling a car.
• Facilitate appraisal steps including discovery, presenting offers, and addressing objections.
• Accurately collect and input data to support precise appraisal offers and maintain composure.
• Follow EH&S requirements and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
