Aerotek is seeking a Mechanical Assembler in Ramsey, MN to build custom refrigeration and cooling systems for commercial facilities. You will gain hands‑on experience in brazing, copper piping, blueprint reading, and fabrication while contributing to varied projects across the country.

The role offers a Monday–Thursday schedule with 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM options, and a four‑day work week with three‑day weekends.

Qualifications

• At least 3 months of mechanical assembly or related hands‑on experience.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Ability to bend, kneel, twist, lift, and stay active throughout the workday.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assemble custom refrigeration and mechanical systems from start to finish.
• Measure, cut, and fit copper piping and insulation using hand tools and tape measures.
• Perform copper-to-copper brazing using an oxyacetylene torch.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Build and install unit housings according to customer specifications.
• Assist with fabrication and welding projects when needed.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet customer requirements.
• Work closely with a team of skilled assemblers to complete custom builds.

Are you mechanically inclined and enjoy working with your hands? We're hiring Mechanical Assemblers to build custom refrigeration and cooling systems used in grocery stores, convenience stores, and other commercial facilities across the country.

Every project is custom-built, which means you'll develop valuable skills in mechanical assembly, copper pipe fitting, brazing, blueprint reading, fabrication, and testing while working on something different every day.

What You'll Do
