Job summary

EMCOR Services Mesa Energy is seeking an Applied Service Manager to direct, manage, recruit, plan, coach, and support a team of applied technicians on projects and maintenance. The role focuses on large‑tonnage HVAC cooling systems and industrial process cooling applications, spanning chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and central plants.

Responsibilities

• Oversee applied technicians who receive work orders from dispatch.
• Coordinate with Field Supervision to schedule monthly PM inspections.
• Provide technical support to field teams and assist dispatch with parts orders.
• Estimate and write repair proposals for existing customers.
• Lead regular safety meetings and promote a safe work environment.
• Perform site surveys for existing and prospective customers for new work.
• Conduct periodic site inspections to ensure quality workmanship.
• Manage inventories, service vehicles, and sites; oversee branch assets.
• Recruit and evaluate technicians; conduct performance reviews.
• Engage with customers and schedule reviews with key branch accounts.
• Collaborate with Branch Management to develop the Branch Business Plan.
• Assist in developing new accounts and promoting service growth.
• Attend weekly branch operations meetings.

Job Summary

The Applied Service Manager shall direct, manage, recruit, plan, coach, and support a team of applied technicians on projects and maintenance. The position includes Applied and Industrial HVAC cooling systems large-tonnage systems at 100+ tons. Various types of equipment and applications including but not limited to: Water‑and Air‑Cooled Chillers, Cooling Towers, Fluid Coolers, Centrifugal pumps, Central Plants, Industrial Sites and Process cooling systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee applied technicians who receive work orders from the dispatch team.
• Work directly with Field Supervision to accomplish the following
• Oversee scheduling of all monthly PM inspections
• Provide technical support to field applied technicians
• Assist dispatchers in ordering approved parts and materials
• Estimate and write repair work proposals for existing customers
• Hold regular safety meetings and promote a safe work environment
• Perform site surveys for existing and prospective customers for new work after sales lead is established
• Perform periodic inspections of all sites to ensure quality workmanshipConduct periodic ride‑alongs with technicians to ensure corporate procedures
• Inspect all vehicles for cleanliness, order, and proper maintenance
• Oversee maintenance of all inventories, including the main warehouse, service vehicles, and all sites (inventory ordering performed by dispatch)
• Recruit and conduct technician reviews and performance evaluations
• Make customer visits and coordinate regular customer review meetings with key branch accounts
• Work with branch management team in developing Branch Business Plan
• Assist in developing new accounts and promoting service/maintenance growth
• Attend weekly branch operations meetings

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of HVACR management experience
• 10+ years of technical experience in HVACR, Facilities Management, or Construction Management
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems and applied HVAC equipment
• Ability to plan, organize, and align customer needs with available technicians
• Proficient with Microsoft applications
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
