Job summary

EMCOR Group, Inc. is seeking a Service Manager to lead a team of field technicians on HVAC projects and maintenance in the Tucson area. You will direct scheduling, coaching, and performance reviews while coordinating with the Service Coordinator on parts, dispatch, and safety compliance.

You will oversee field operations across a range of equipment, ensure quality workmanship, and support branch growth through customer visits and regular reviews with key accounts.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years HVACR management experience.
• 10+ years technical experience in HVACR, facilities management, or maintenance.
• Proficient with Microsoft applications.
• Based in Tucson area; supports southern AZ.
• UA and SMART Union members eligible; no affiliation required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the dispatching of all technicians (dispatching to be performed by the Service Coordinator).
• Oversee the scheduling of all monthly PM inspections (scheduling to be performed by the Service Coordinator).
• Providing technical support to field technicians.
• Assisting the Service Coordinator in the ordering of “approved” parts and materials.
• Performing site surveys for existing and prospective customers for new work after‑sales lead is established.
• Estimating and writing repair work proposals for existing customers.
• Performing periodic inspections of all sites to ensure quality workmanship.
• Perform periodic “ride‑a‑longs” with technicians to ensure corporate procedures.
• Inspecting all vehicles for cleanliness, order, and proper maintenance.
• Oversee the maintenance of all inventories, including the main warehouse, service vehicles, and all sites (inventory ordering to be performed by the Service Coordinator).
• Recruit and perform technician reviews and performance evaluations.
• Promote a safe work environment and hold regular safety meetings with technicians.
• Make customer visits and coordinate regular customer review meetings with key branch accounts.
• Work with the branch management team in developing the branch business plan.
• Assist in developing new accounts and promoting service/maintenance growth.
• Attend weekly branch operations meetings.

Job Summary

The position includes commercial HVAC cooling systems ranging from 3 to 100 tons. Various types of equipment could include packages of all sizes, split systems, control systems, pumps, refrigeration equipment, VFDs, boilers, and built-up systems.
