Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Operations Engineer for Applied AI (Application Software) to partner with internal teams and design AI-powered solutions using large language models. The role blends deep technical work with collaboration across Sales, Product, and Engineering to deliver practical, tested applications.

You will develop prototypes, evaluate architectures, and design robust systems while prioritizing safety and responsible deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of experience working in engineering or operations/process development.

Responsibilities

• Work with internal teams to uncover needs and design technical approaches that align with goals.
• Serve as main technical point of contact, supporting end-to-end and coordinating with internal teams for strong outcomes.
• Build prototypes and proof-of-concept apps that illustrate integration with SpaceX platforms and Grok/LLM tooling.
• Advise on system-on-system architecture and support teams in developing AI-powered applications.
• Stay current with evolving LLM technologies, best practices, and tools used in fast-moving environments.
