Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Operations Engineer, Applied AI (Application Software) to collaborate with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams, designing AI-powered solutions and robust architectures. The role emphasizes hands-on development of prototypes, integration with platforms, and responsible deployment in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will work on end-to-end support, exploring capabilities of platforms and ensuring delivery of meaningful results while maintaining safety and governance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of experience in engineering or operations/process development.
• Experience supporting cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to code and develop production-level applications.
• Experience shipping real-world applications using large language models and ML tools.

Responsibilities

• Work with internal teams to uncover needs and design technical approaches aligning with goals.
• Serve as main technical point of contact and coordinate end-to-end efforts.
• Build prototypes and proof-of-concept apps illustrating integration with Spok/Grok.
• Advise on system architecture and support teams in AI-powered applications.
• Keep current with evolving LLM technologies, best practices, and tools.
