Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Operations Engineer, Applied AI (Application Software), to partner with internal teams and design AI-powered solutions using large language models. You will build prototypes, advise on architecture, and ensure safe, effective deployments within a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have a STEM degree and 1+ years in engineering or operations, with hands-on experience shipping production-grade ML apps and integration skills across cross-functional groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of experience working in engineering or operations/process development.
• Experience coding and shipping production-grade applications using ML/LLMs.

Responsibilities

• Work with internal teams to uncover needs and design technical approaches that align with goals.
• Serve as main technical contact, coordinating with teams for strong outcomes.
• Build prototypes and proof-of-concept apps showing how to integrate with Spok/Grok.
• Advise on system architecture and support AI-powered applications.
• Keep current with evolving LLM technologies and best practices.
