Job summary

SpaceX in the United States is seeking an Operations Engineer, Applied AI (Application Software) to partner with internal teams across programs, exploring platforms and designing strategies to integrate large language models into products and infrastructure.

This onsite role blends deep engineering with strong collaboration, building prototypes, advising on system architecture, and ensuring safe, effective AI deployments within a fast-moving, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM or engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of experience in engineering or operations/process development.
• Experience shipping real-world applications using LLMs and related ML tools.

Responsibilities

• Work with internal teams to uncover needs and design technical approaches aligned with goals.
• Serve as the main technical contact, coordinating with teams to ensure strong outcomes.
• Build prototypes and proofs-of-concept illustrating integration with Spok/Grok.
• Advise on system-on-system architecture and support advanced LLM-powered applications.
• Stay current with evolving LLM tech, best practices, and tools in a fast-moving environment.
