Job summary

Rackner seeks an AI/ML Engineer to shape evaluation, governance, and deployment of AI across a federal data modernization program. You will move AI from concept to production, building AI applications, agents, intelligent workflows, and automation with a focus on responsible-AI controls and monitoring.

You will collaborate with engineering, data, cybersecurity, governance, and mission teams to deliver AI-enabled capabilities, tools, and analytics at scale in a secure, production-ready

Qualifications

• Experience building, integrating, evaluating, or deploying AI/ML in real organizational environments.
• Strong Python skills demonstrated in production environments.
• Hands-on work with generative AI, LLMs, or intelligent automation.
• Ability to integrate AI solutions with APIs and enterprise systems.
• Understanding of the AI delivery lifecycle from requirements to production.
• Experience with responsible-AI, governance, and AI risk management.

Responsibilities

• Turn operational challenges into practical AI use cases, requirements, and designs.
• Build and deploy AI applications, agents, workflows, and automation.
• Take solutions from prototype through testing, production deployment, and monitoring.
• Apply Python to AI/ML prototypes, integrations, and automation.
• Connect AI capabilities with enterprise data and APIs.
• Develop intelligent document workflows for classification, extraction, and routing.
• Evaluate AI/LLM platforms for quality, security, and scalability.
• Design pilots, test plans, and adoption recommendations.
• Shape responsible-AI controls including monitoring and incident response.
• Utilize Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio, or similar platforms.
• Develop AI-driven analytics including predictive modeling and natural-language interaction.
