Job summary

Fearless Solutions is seeking an AI/ML Engineer (Consultant, Data & Analytics) to build and operate production-grade AI capabilities for a federal data modernization initiative. This fully remote role spans data governance, platform engineering, and scalable AI enablement across the enterprise.

You will design reusable AI patterns, deploy models with Azure ML and Databricks, and implement MLOps, monitoring, and explainability to ensure privacy, safety, and fairness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, data science, or related roles.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/DS/Math/Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance.
• Proven experience building and deploying AI/ML models in production using Python and cloud-native tools.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Services, or similar cloud AI platforms.
• Experience developing AI/ML solutions using Databricks or comparable cloud-native platforms.
• Experience implementing MLOps pipelines, model registry, and automated deployment workflows.
• Experience with NLP, generative AI, or predictive modeling techniques.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate use cases into production-ready solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy AI/ML capabilities using Azure ML, Azure AI Services, and Databricks to productionize models.
• Implement MLOps to automate training, validation, deployment, and monitoring workflows.
• Develop reusable AI solution patterns for predictive modeling, NLP, and generative AI use cases.
• Integrate AI/ML with shared data engineering, platform, and governance services.
• Implement model monitoring, guardrails, and explainability for trustworthy AI.
• Support AI pilot initiatives and provide guidance on design, deployment, and responsible AI practices.
• Coordinate with platform engineering to leverage shared infrastructure and governance standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, governance teams, and stakeholders to identify opportunities and deliver production-ready AI solutions.
