Job summary

Fearless is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to join a fully remote role supporting a large federal agency’s data modernization initiative. You will build and operate production‑grade AI/ML capabilities across an enterprise data platform, focusing on scalable, secure, and governance‑driven solutions.

You will work with Azure ML, Databricks, and Python to develop reusable AI patterns, implement MLOps, and ensure Trustworthy AI practices while collaborating with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in AI/ML engineering, data science, or related roles.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/DS/Math/Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance.
• Proven experience building and deploying AI/ML models in production with Python and cloud‑native tools.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Services, or similar cloud AI platforms.
• Experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutions using Databricks or comparable platforms.
• Experience implementing MLOps, including training pipelines, model registry, and automated deployment.
• Experience with NLP, generative AI, or predictive modeling techniques.
• Experience collaborating with cross‑functional engineering, data, and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy AI/ML capabilities using Azure ML, Azure AI Services, and Databricks to productionize models.
• Implement MLOps to automate training, validation, deployment, and monitoring workflows.
• Develop reusable AI solution patterns for predictive modeling, NLP, and generative AI.
• Integrate AI/ML with shared data engineering, platform, and governance services.
• Implement model monitoring, guardrails, and explainability for privacy and Trustworthy AI.
• Support AI pilot initiatives, onboarding, and enablement on design and deployment.
• Coordinate with platform teams to leverage shared infra and governance standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, governance teams, and stakeholders to deliver production‑ready AI.
