Job summary

Anthropic Limited is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to support a dedicated national security mission program. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor, guiding architecture decisions, developing evaluation frameworks, and shaping implementation patterns for Claude across customer environments.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Prior experience working within US intelligence community agencies as a government civilian or cleared contractor.
• 4+ years in technical roles such as Forward Deployed Engineer, Product Engineer, Software Engineer, or Technical Product Manager.
• Strong programming skills with Python or TypeScript and experience building production applications.
• Hands-on expertise in offensive/defensive cyber operations, cryptography, ISR, mission/weapons systems, CBRN or accreditation of classified systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a specialist technical advisor for national security mission programs from discovery through deployment.
• Support the customer using Claude Code, the Claude API, and Claude for Enterprise.
• Translate mission requirements into technical solutions with account executives and Applied AI Architects.
• Develop evaluation frameworks and pilots to assess Claude's performance for mission-specific use cases.
• Lead hands-on technical workshops and code reviews with customer engineering teams.
• Identify common design patterns and contribute insights back to Product and Engineering teams.
• Create and deliver technical content from deep dives to executive briefings.
• Maintain knowledge of latest LLM capabilities and AI product development stacks.
• Work on-site with customer teams in secure government facilities and coordinate with internal teams.
