Job summary

Clayco is seeking an experienced AI/ML engineer to build governed AI applications used by our employees. You will enable searchable retrieval across procedures, project history, and platform documentation while aligning with Clayco’s identity model and agent registry.

You will evaluate model and approach choices on real tasks, define engineering standards for prompts, and work closely with engineers and project staff to ensure practical, reliable automation that scales across diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Shipped AI tooling to real users in production
• Experience building retrieval over knowledge bases
• Ability to define and enforce engineering standards for AI applications

Responsibilities

• Build governed AI applications used by Clayco employees
• Develop retrieval over internal knowledge base: procedures, history, docs
• Turn domain model into working retrieval boundaries
• Evaluate model choices against real Clayco tasks
• Set prompt/context engineering standards for the team
• Integrate within existing agent registry and identity model
