Job summary

Fort Bend County is seeking an Applications Programming Supervisor to oversee the applications support and development staff in Richmond, TX. This role ensures timely delivery, oversees the SDLC, and prepares status reports for IT leadership.

You will train and appraise staff, evaluate user requirements, and coordinate with the Director of Information Technology on special projects and budget planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience).
• 7 years of job-related experience with 5 years in supervision/management.
• Strong multi-platform programming skills: VB.NET, C#.NET, .NET Core, PowerBuilder, HTML, XML, JavaScript, PHP, SQL Server, PL/SQL.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; supervisory and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of applications support and development staff.
• Ensure project, team, and department deadlines are met.
• Oversee all aspects of the SDLC for applications in scope.
• Provide periodic reports on project status and resource forecasts.
