Job summary

Siemens Energy, Inc. is seeking a Controls Engineer to provide global technical support for the SGT-A05 gas turbine portfolio across the oil/gas and distributed power sectors.

You will travel to customer sites, resolve technical issues, and collaborate with Sales, Design Engineering, Project Engineering, Parts, and Operations. The role requires a mechanical/electrical engineering background and PLC familiarity.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in mechanical and/or electrical engineering (associates may be considered).
• Basic understanding of PLC systems and industrial automation concepts; exposure to Allen-Bradley PLCs is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team to support customer needs.
• Strong communication skills and professional interaction with customers and cross-functional groups.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally to support projects and field service activities.
• Basic knowledge of electrical schematics, P&IDs, instrumentation, or industrial networking.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; willingness to learn SAP, CAD, and analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide global technical support for the SGT-A05 gas turbine portfolio.
• Travel to customer sites to resolve technical issues.
• Provide technical advice to Sales, Design Engineering, Project Engineering, Parts, and Operations teams.
• Support Siemens Energy Regional Technical Support teams and field service engineers at customer sites, focusing on control and performance issues.
• Advise and support the technical writer for the SGT-A05 range.
• Interface between engineering, overhaul facilities, and packagers for performance topics.
