Job summary

Gosiger Mid-Atlantic is seeking a skilled Applications Specialist to provide technical expertise, set-up and programming for machine tools, and to train customers on operations and troubleshooting. The role involves pre-sale technical support and collaboration with service and sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Based in Exton, PA, the position requires travel to customer sites domestically and internationally, and demands strong problem-solving, blueprints interpretation, and process

Qualifications

• Two-year degree or formal coursework with basic to moderate experience in applications.
• Demonstrated knowledge of machine tool products, options and functions.
• Experience with machine tool programming, program modification and set-up; statistical process and evaluation (e.g., CPK).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, design and develop processes for machine tool equipment.
• Must have valid driver's license and ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Builds relationships with customers and vendors to support teamwork.
• Provides pre-sale technical sales support to sales team and customers.
• Performs tooling/fixturing set-ups, programming and run offs to optimize cycle time.
• Interprets part prints and designs programming processes to create parts.
• Provides on-site and in-house training on machine operations and troubleshooting.
