Job summary

Janitza North America is seeking an Applications Engineer to support hybrid onsite work in Ashburn, VA or remote work for eligible regions in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, or Southeast U.S. The role focuses on designing, deploying, and supporting power monitoring solutions for data centers and industrial facilities.

You will collaborate with sales, engineering, and customers to deliver technically differentiated energy management solutions while maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical or applications engineering in power management.
• Experience with medium voltage systems and data center equipment.
• Design, construction, and commissioning of substations and associated power management or SCADA.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer challenges into technically differentiated solutions with sales.
• Design, configure, and validate power monitoring and energy management solutions using Janitza platforms.
• Review diagrams and system requirements for solution accuracy and performance.
• Prepare functional requirement responses and perform architecture reviews.
• Travel up to 25% annually, with onboarding travel to the U.S. office and possibly to the German headquarters.
