Job summary

INNIO Group in Houston seeks an experienced Application Engineer to serve as the technical lead for the New Units Commercial Operations team. You will develop technical solutions, evaluate customer requirements, and support proposals for Jenbacher power systems from pre‑order through handoff to project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years engineering experience in power generation or related industries.
• Experience with reciprocating engines, gas turbines, or similar technologies.
• Willingness to travel domestically or internationally.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without current Sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical solutions and proposals for Jenbacher reciprocating gas engine technology.
• Review customer requirements and perform technical evaluations related to system integration and performance.
• Prepare technical specifications, configurations, calculations, and supporting documentation.
• Provide technical support during customer discussions, RFP reviews, and negotiations.
• Coordinate with Product Management, Engineering, and R&D to obtain technical approvals and product support.
• Serve as the primary technical resource for sales and commercial teams and train stakeholders.
