Job summary

CPM Holdings, Inc. in Waterloo, IA is seeking an Applications Engineer for the pelleting and size reduction equipment lines to join our sales team. You will review customer requirements, select suitable equipment, and prepare accurate quotes.

The Applications Engineer will support North American customers by phone, digital, or in person; you will collaborate with CPM engineers and sales staff to meet customer needs and build strong relationships, with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in business or technical field preferred; experience considered.
• Mechanical and/or agriculture background helpful.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to communicate technical information clearly.
• Customer service, sales support or project management experience a plus.
• Strong integrity and ethics.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers by providing technical and process information.
• Size equipment accurately and prepare quotes.
• Collaborate with CPM engineers and sales staff to meet customer needs.
• Maintain records of opportunities, quotes and contacts.
• Attend industry trade shows.
• Travel domestically and internationally for training and events as needed.
