Job summary

FCI Basics, an Amphenol business, is seeking an Application Development Engineer to develop new opportunities and grow strategic customer relationships across North America. You will interface with customers, product development, marketing, and sales to deliver interconnect solutions.

The ideal candidate has PCB design expertise, proficiency with Altium/Cadence/PADS/KiCad, and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Qualifications

• PCB design experience including schematic capture and layout.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Support growth across Automotive, Robotics, Energy Storage and AI infra with interconnect solutions.
• Develop solutions addressing customer needs and technical requirements.
• Lead internal design reviews and customer meetings.
• Create technical presentations to propose concepts.
• Prototype, test, and debug hardware; maintain docs and specs.
• Collaborate with CAE, process, and project teams as needed.
• Drive innovation and contribute to product roadmaps.
• Some travel required.
