Job summary

FCI Basics, an Amphenol business, seeks an Application Development Engineer to develop opportunities and grow strategic customer relationships across North America.

You will interface with customers, internal product teams, and sales, applying deep PCB design expertise to solve technical challenges and accelerate product roadmap.

Travel is required; the role emphasizes hands-on prototyping, documentation, and collaboration across global teams to differentiate our interconnect solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven PCB design expertise and hands-on schematic capture, layout and component selection.
• Strong fundamentals in power distribution, voltage/current, grounding and signal integrity.
• Experience interfacing with customers and internal product teams to meet technical needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions addressing customer needs and technical requirements.
• Lead design reviews and present concepts to customers.
• Prototyping, testing, debugging and hardware troubleshooting.
• Create engineering documentation: schematics, drawings, specs, test plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including CAE, process, and manufacturing.
