Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. seeks an Applications Engineer in Boise to drive early validation of DRAM products and perform system-level failure analysis.

You will run diagnostic software, design experiments, and craft tools to interpret data, communicating findings to customers and internal teams. You will develop validation strategies for new technologies, debug memory-related issues, and use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, and multimeters as part of routine equipment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of computer architecture for system-level memory validation and failure analysis.
• Proficiency in Python for evaluating diagnostic software and test methodologies.
• Ability to design experiments and develop custom tools for data analysis.
• Ability to build validation strategies for new technologies and memory diagnostics.
• Experience debugging memory-related issues and using diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Validate DRAM products and participate in system-level failure analysis.
• Run and configure diagnostic software and craft experiments.
• Communicate data to internal and external customers.
• Lead Micron Product Qualifications with internal and external customers.
• Develop system test methodologies and automation for system-level testing.
• Build and develop validation strategies for new technology including system memory diagnostics.
