Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an entry level Applications Engineer in the Networking Communication Systems unit to support USB and PCIe products. You will develop collateral, support evaluation boards, and deliver technical training to customers, sales and field applications engineers.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Design, Product/Test and Marketing teams and requires a background in electrical engineering with embedded firmware knowledge, plus strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 2.5–5 years relevant experience.
• Understanding of electrical system design and embedded software/firmware basics.
• Strong written communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and produce application notes, data sheets, and manuals for new products.
• Support evaluation platforms and customer-facing training sessions.
• Provide direct technical support to sales, field applications engineers and key customers.
• Collaborate with design, product/test and marketing teams to identify new applications.
