Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer to join the USB and Networking business unit (UNG).

You will develop and support evaluation platform PCBs for PCIe and USB products, and drive Linux/Windows/RTOS driver support across platforms. Collaborate with Design, Product, Test and Marketing teams, create collateral, and present technical trainings to customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5 years of experience.
• Experience with PCIe, Ethernet, and high-speed signaling.
• Experience with SPI, I2C, UART and related protocols.
• Strong C/C++, Python and shell scripting skills.
• Understanding of embedded software/firmware and Linux development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support evaluation platform PCBs for PCIe and USB products.
• Support Linux, Windows and RTOS drivers for USB/PCIe devices.
• Plan and coordinate driver development for Windows, Linux, RTOS and MacOS.
• Create collateral like application notes, datasheets and reference designs.
• Deliver technical training such as webinars and workshops to customers and engineers.
• Provide direct technical support to sales, field engineers and key customers.
• Collaborate with Design, Product/Test and Marketing teams.
• Work with Marketing and Sales to identify new applications and products.
