Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is hiring an Applications Engineer in the Networking Communication Group to support PCIe and USB products.

The Applications Engineer will enable customers to succeed using Microchip solutions by reviewing schematics, guiding driver development, and providing technical answers during development. Responsibilities include creating collateral such as Application Notes and knowledgebase articles, and identifying gaps to improve customer enablement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field with at least 7.5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of C, C++, Python and other embedded languages.
• Knowledge of PCIe Driver development and debug processes.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing schematic and block diagrams for USB and PCIe communication systems using Microchip products.
• Providing driver debugging and development guidance for PCIe products.
• Answering questions from Field Sales engineers and customers during development.
• Creating collateral to improve user experience: Application Notes, Knowledgebase Articles, Software Examples, Implementation Manuals.
• Identifying gaps in enablement material and setting goals to address them.
