Job summary

Winchester Interconnect is seeking an Application Engineer to deliver cost-effective bulk cable and cable assembly solutions, and to design interconnects based on direct customer input. You will work with Sales, Quality, Production, and Process Engineering to support customer needs and enable project success.

The role may also drive new product development from customer input and market trends, aligning with company strategy and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering preferred.
• At least 3 years engineering experience in manufacturing, bulk cable preferred.
• Knowledge of bulk cable and cable assembly design, materials, processes, testing.
• Understanding of UL/CSA/NEC/cUL/IEC/CE/RoHS/ISO 9001 regulatory influences.

Responsibilities

• Optimize extrusion and cabling to reduce costs and waste.
• Design bulk cables meeting market needs and lead design reviews.
• Lead engineering projects from concept to completion and manage ECNs.
• Provide accurate cost estimates and ensure process controls for quality.
