Job summary

Winchester Interconnect Corporation is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead, develop, and mentor the engineering team for reliable, scalable production of connectors and cable assemblies. You will oversee design engineering, optimize workflows, and implement manufacturing best practices to meet safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost goals.

The role requires a BS in Design or Manufacturing Engineering, 7+ years of relevant experience, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field required.
• 7+ years of experience in engineering, preferably in connectors, cables, or electromechanical assembly.
• 3+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of cable assembly, connector manufacturing, crimping, soldering, molding, and electro-mechanical assembly processes.
• Experience with Lean / Six Sigma methodologies (certification preferred).
• Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and ERP/MRP systems.
• Familiarity with process validation, DOE, and statistical analysis.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to move around the production floor and prioritize multiple projects.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally and work near manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and mentor the Engineering team to ensure efficient, reliable, and scalable production of connectors and cable assemblies.
• Oversee the design engineering team, workflow optimization, and implementation of manufacturing best practices.
• Support safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align design and manufacturing goals.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean / Six Sigma methodologies.
• Manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively on the production floor.
