Job summary

Winchester Interconnect is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead, develop, and mentor the Engineering team, ensuring safe, reliable, and scalable production of connectors and cable assemblies. This role manages the design engineering team, workflow optimization, and manufacturing best practices to support safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost objectives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Design/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
7+ years of engineering experience with leadership.
3+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
Strong knowledge of cable assembly, connector manufacturing, crimping, soldering, molding, and electro-mechanical assembly processes.
Experience with Lean / Six Sigma methodologies (certification preferred).
Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and ERP/MRP systems.
Familiarity with process validation, DOE, and statistical analysis.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to move around the production floor, lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor the Engineering team to ensure safe, quality, on-time production.
Oversee design engineering, workflow optimization, and manufacturing best practices.
Collaborate across departments to align projects with profitability and KPI targets.
Drive process improvements using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
Support new product introductions (NPI) from design to production release.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and cost objectives.
Communicate priorities and progress to stakeholders and leadership.
