Salary Range: $75000.00 - $120000.00 Salary/year
Travel Percentage: Up to 25%
Description

You will have an opportunity to work on projects throughout North America - coordinating with customers of all sizes, jurisdictions, and 3rd party engineering firms. This position is a critical role in helping our customers successfully execute their solar projects. This position is based in Albuquerque/New Mexico, full-time, exempt, and offers a competitive benefits package.

  • Design and develop systems to provide photovoltaic mounting solutions to Unirac’s customers PV mounting options utilizing Unirac products and provides designs, quotes, and support for those solutions
  • Collect, and report information on the ability and capacity of company products and competing equipment to support the development of new PV mounting solutions
  • Coordinate with external third-party engineers to generate final designs and certified permit documents
  • Act as technical liaison to the sales team and software development team
  • Interact closely with customers to provide consulting as well as technical support on Unirac’s products
  • Provides product application training to customers and colleagues through phone, webinars, and onsite visits

Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field
  • 3+ Years experience. Experience must include design / installation solar products with wide degree of creativity
  • Experience designing with Solar Design Application software
  • Ability to interact with clients, regulatory bodies, and contractors to explain technical aspects of the design within different levels of stakeholder understanding and language
  • Ability to coordinate with external third-party engineers to generate final designs and certified permit documents
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues that arise during the design, testing, or construction of solar mount systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Solar experience preferred
