This position reports to

Lead Senior Channel Applications Engineer

Your role and responsibilities

The Channel Applications Engineer (CAE) provides technical sales execution to the Channel team, Channel partners, technical support, product engineering, R&D, and end customers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; ABB Low Voltage (LV) drive & PLC/HMI product knowledge, application, and general LV drive and motor issues.

This role can be remote; the candidate must reside in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Vermont, or Maine. #LI-Remote

This position contributes to the Motion Drive Products division in the Northeastern US.

Main responsibilities include:

• Apply Technical Knowledge: Design and recommend tailored solutions, contribute to specifications, negotiate deviations, and identify applicable functional solutions.
• Customer Relations: Strengthen existing relationships, develop new customer contacts, follow up on complaints, and gather feedback.
• Sales Techniques: Use basic sales techniques confidently, consider different viewpoints, support the team with presentations, and serve as a product expert.
• Technical Analysis: Analyze drive, PLC/HMI, motor applications, coordinate activities to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience with Low Voltage drives and applications such as pumps, fans, extruders, cranes, etc.
• Exceptional technical and communication skills.
• Understanding of Serial and Ethernet protocols.
• Programming experience with industrial PLCs.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and documents.
• Valid driver's license and passport; ability to travel within the territory >50%.
• Legal work authorization for the US.
