AMG, Integrated Healthcare Management is seeking an Applications Analyst to support software applications and data analytics.   • Two or more years’ experience in an applications analysis and reporting-related position.
  • Experience in the Healthcare industry desired but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Support new and existing software applications with cross-functional teams and vendors.

AMG, Integrated Healthcare Management (AMG Corporate) is seeking a full timeApplications Analyst to join our Corporate Team. The Applications Analyst will support the company’s software applications and data analytics initiatives. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to assist with the implementation of innovative solutions, improve business processes, and deliver actionable insights. This position reports the Applications and BI Manager.

This is not a remote or hybrid position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Applications: Support new and existing software applications, working closely with employees and vendors to identify business requirements and deliver optimal solutions.
  • Maintain Systems & Resolve Issues: Master company-owned software systems to handle installation, configuration, maintenance, and support. Resolve escalated Service Desk issues.
  • Data Security & Access Control: Maintain role-based access controls across applications to protect sensitive information, ensuring staff have only the minimum necessary access in compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Business Analysis & Improvement: Document processes and translate them into application requirements. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement or automation using technology.
  • Data Query & Reporting: Develop SQL queries (both simple and complex) to extract and analyze data for reporting purposes. Leverage Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts) to manipulate data and present insights.
  • Report Development: Design and deploy reports and dashboards that enable quick, informed decision-making. Ensure the right stakeholders receive the right information at the right time, and automate data workflows to eliminate manual effort and reduce errors.
  • Documentation & Training: Create and update technical documentation and user guides. Promote consistent use of applications across all facilities and conduct end-user training as needed to maximize adoption.
  • Vendor Management: Liaise with software vendors to troubleshoot issues, implement updates or new features, and stay informed about emerging products/solutions that could benefit AMG.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the IT team to ensure system availability, network connectivity, and interoperability of applications across the organization.
  • Emergency Support: Provide after-hours support for urgent issues or critical system emergencies on an as-needed basis.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current with industry trends and new technologies; pursue ongoing professional development and training opportunities to continually enhance your skill set.
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Informatics or related field
  • Two or more years’ experience in an applications analysis and reporting-related position
  • Experience in the Healthcare industry desired but not required
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL querying and database management, SQL Server (2019 or newer) and SSRS is required. Familiarity with other database platforms (e.g., DB2, MySQL, PostgreSQL) is advantageous.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Strong ability to analyze data and generate meaningful reports/visualizations. Expert-level use of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts) and solid experience with Microsoft Word. Experience with PowerBI is favorable.
  • Business Insight: Capability to understand complex business processes and translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Programming: Experience with programming or scripting (e.g. Python, R, PowerShell, VBA) is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Customer Service Oriented: Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with end users, understand their needs, and provide timely, solutions-focused support for application-related issues.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with clear and effective verbal and written communication.
  • Organization: Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with colleagues.
