Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital - North Mississippi in Batesville, MS is seeking a Full Time Health Information Management (HIM) Manager. This leader will safeguard data integrity, privacy and security of medical records while driving quality documentation and compliance with regulations.

The HIM Manager will work with providers to improve documentation, monitor audits and denials, and prepare data for utilization management and mandatory reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required; HIM experience preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one year HIM-related experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Additional languages are desirable.
• Advanced computer skills are required; Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency requested.

Responsibilities

• Ensure facility-wide data integrity, privacy, and security of medical records.
• Implement processes to ensure accurate and complete documentation; collaborate with providers to improve documentation quality.
• Track audits and denials from third-party payers and auditors; support regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and analyze data for process improvement and utilization management for mandatory reporting.
• Perform clerical duties associated with the HIM Manager role.
