Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer for Application Performance Monitoring in Irving, TX. You will monitor, analyze, and improve the performance, availability, and reliability of applications using Splunk and AppDynamics, and collaborate with engineering and support teams.

The role is a 12-month contract, W-2 eligible, full-time on-site. Compensation ranges from $45 to $50 per hour, with details based on experience and location.

Qualifications

• Experience with ServiceNow (SNOW), automation, Power BI and Tableau, and Python scripting.
• Automation principles and tools such as Ansible or Selenium are desired.
• Exposure to AI technologies and AI-driven automation/observability.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word).

Software Engineer - Application Performance Monitoring (Splunk & AppDynamics)

Position Details

Position type: Full Time - Contract

Contract Duration: 12 Months

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis.

Responsibilities

• Consult on and participate in moderately complex Software Engineering initiatives and deliverables.
• Contribute to large-scale planning and execution of Software Engineering deliverables.
• Monitor and analyze application performance, availability, stability, and operational health using Splunk and AppDynamics.
• Investigate application and system performance issues and perform detailed root-cause analysis.
• Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges involving multiple technical and operational factors.
• Contribute to the resolution of production and application performance issues.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, alerts, reports, and monitoring solutions using APM and observability platforms.
• Analyze application and operational data to identify performance trends, anomalies, and potential risks.
• Collaborate with Software Engineering, application support, infrastructure, and other technology teams to resolve issues and meet deliverables.
• Communicate technical findings, issues, risks, and recommendations effectively to engineering teams and leadership.
• Participate in incident, problem, and change-management processes as required.
• Leverage knowledge of engineering policies, procedures, standards, and compliance requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve monitoring, automation, operational efficiency, and application reliability.
• Work effectively with client personnel and geographically dispersed teams.
• Manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and working under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in ServiceNow (SNOW), Automation, Power BI and Tableau and Python / scripting
• Experience with automation principles and tools such as Ansible, Selenium, or similar technologies.
• Exposure to AI technologies and AI-driven automation/observability.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Word.
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools, particularly Tableau and Power BI.
• Experience with mainframe technologies.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability platforms beyond Splunk and AppDynamics.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $45/hr to $50/hr

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
