Job Description:
Pay Range: $63.30/hr - $68.30/hr
- The Career IT Application Operations Analyst conducts basic and intermediate tasks under the guidance of a more senior Application Operations Analyst.
- Adheres to Work Instructions and/or processes as outlined in Run Books and Playbooks.
- Uses technical skills to resolve application and data-related problems within a well-defined scope, following procedural guidelines or under supervision.
- Escalates complex or unusual problems to more experienced resources.
- Handles a broader range of assignments and may develop solutions, beginning to scope work.
- Follows established Application Development Frameworks, Coding Guidelines, and Database Standards when developing.
- Analyzes existing Smart Meter application interfaces and tools, prepares logical models and procedures, creates SQL code and scheduling scripts, and tests/debugs interfaces and tools.
- Diagnoses, isolates, and corrects data and performance faults.
- Prepares and obtains approval for system and development documentation.
- Performs planned and ad-hoc corrective maintenance to ensure continuous system operations.
- Analyzes, evaluates, debugs, and diagnoses bugs, incidents, and exceptions in SmartMeter applications, interfaces, processes, and procedures.
- Identifies and corrects discrepancies in data collected, reported, and processed.
- Interacts with users, stakeholders, and team members, discussing and reporting on progress.
- Executes quality control tasks as directed.
- Monitors Meter to Cash Customer Care metrics and service level agreements.
- Develops conversion and implementation plans.
- Assists in defining, developing, and documenting business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications for Smart Meter systems on a project basis, collaborating with internal teams.
- Proposes procedural, process, and tool enhancements based on experience.
- Provides clear, professional, and straightforward communication, including non-technical explanations.
- May interact with suppliers and contractors as needed.
Knowledge/Abilities:
- Familiarity with infrastructure components such as Linux servers, networks, backups, and Oracle databases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively across multiple departments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Requirements:
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in application design, deployment, troubleshooting, infrastructure technologies, operations support, and analysis.
- Experience with designing and deploying large-scale, complex infrastructure-application systems.
