Job Summary

As an Application Monitoring Engineer, you will be a core member of the IT Service Management team supporting the event management practice. You will join a forward-thinking team focused on improving monitoring practices and aligning with DevSecOps continuous monitoring. Your responsibilities include configuring and managing enterprise monitoring tools for on-premises, cloud, applications, and third-party solutions. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills and collaborate across IT teams.

Job Responsibilities

1. Monitor and analyze the performance of enterprise applications and systems to identify improvements.
2. Work with infrastructure teams to ensure systems support optimal application and monitoring performance.
3. Collaborate with IT teams to design, develop, and deploy applications with performance and monitoring in mind.
4. Recommend and implement solutions like system tuning, code optimization, and infrastructure upgrades.
5. Identify and resolve technical issues affecting monitoring coverage, system availability, and performance.
6. Develop skills in areas such as scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash), integration technologies (REST APIs, SOAP), monitoring tools (Dynatrace, SolarWinds, cloud-native monitoring in Azure or AWS), operating systems (Windows, Linux), SQL, virtualization (VMware), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift), Agile methodologies, and troubleshooting.

Job Qualifications

1. 0-3 years of experience in Application Performance Management or related fields.
2. Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or equivalent experience.
3. ITIL v4 Foundations certification preferred.
4. Authorized to work full-time in the United States.
