Job summary

Horton, Inc. is seeking an Application Engineering Co-op at our Roseville, MN corporate headquarters.

The role focuses on integrating existing products into new applications under mentorship and includes DFMEA, test planning, and validation to meet performance targets. The candidate will perform modeling, testing, and advanced analyses (FEA/CFD) to support product applications and provide engineering support for customer-driven modifications.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree with at least 2 years completed (GPA 3.0+).
• Junior or Senior status.
• Demonstrated leadership, initiative and decision‑making skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, able to work independently and in a team.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Modeling and drafting concepts into designs that can be tested.
• Conducts computer aided analysis with FEA and/or CFD.
• Develops test designs to measure function and quality of products.
• Provides engineering support to modify existing products to meet customer requirements.
• Authorizes product design revisions.
• Other duties assigned.
