Job summary

Horton, Inc. is seeking an Application Engineering Co-op at its corporate headquarters in Roseville for Winter/Summer 2027 or Summer/Fall 2027.

The role supports integration of existing products into new applications under mentor guidance, with a focus on design, DFMEA, test planning, and quantitative testing to meet performance targets. Candidates are pursuing a 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree with at least 2 years completed and a 3.0+ GPA, showing leadership, initiative, and teamwork, and

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree with at least 2 years completed and a 3.0 GPA.
• Junior or Senior status.
• Strong leadership, initiative and decision-making skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Modeling and drafting of concepts into designs that can be tested.
• Conducts computer aided analysis of new concepts with FEA and/or CFD.
• Tests materials and concepts, working closely with the test lab staff to design tests and document results.
• Develops test designs to measure function and quality and to test new ideas or modifications.
• Provides engineering support to modify existing products to meet customer requirements;-authorizes design revisions.
