Job summary

MIT RESOURCE is looking for an Applications Engineer to customize and validate Horton products for OEM applications in Carmel, IN. The successful candidate will engage with customers, lead design efforts, and provide engineering support while ensuring product quality and functionality.

The role requires a four-year engineering degree and 2–5 years of engineering experience. Responsibilities include working closely with customers and internal teams to develop effective product solutions and enhancing existing designs.

Responsibilities

• Customizes and validates Horton products for use in OEM customer applications.
• Visits customer locations at project initiation to understand customer needs.
• Directs the modeling and drafting of concepts into design-ready drawings.
• Validates materials and concepts through analysis and testing.
• Determines readiness of product aspects for release and authorizes release.
• Supports ongoing improvement of existing product designs.
• Develops test designs to measure function and quality of products.
• Provides engineering support to modify existing products to meet customer needs.
