Job summary

ESAB Corporation in Hanover, PA is hiring an Application Engineer to be the primary technical resource for the field sales force. You will lead technology evaluations, advise customers, and support new product introductions across military, nuclear, and commercial welding applications.

You will collaborate with engineering, QA, and sales to provide reliable welding solutions, write procedures, and help qualify welding costs while traveling to customer sites and partner facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Welding or Metallurgical) or equivalent education/experience.
• Proven technical abilities with welding processes and blueprints.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Experience with SAW, FCAW, SMAW welding and welding procedure qualification (AWS/ASME).

Responsibilities

• Act as technical resource for field sales and drive technology evaluations.
• Lead discussions with NAVSEA, military contractors, and nuclear customers.
• Support product introductions, R&D, and quality teams for new weld products.
• Provide design and specification support to consultants and distributors.
• Respond to RFIs/RFPs with technical elements.
