Job summary

Omron Inspection Systems Division seeks an energetic application engineer for the Dallas, TX location to support SPI, AOI, and AXI solutions. This on-site role focuses on customer engagement, technical discussions, and hands-on training while collaborating with sales on demonstrations and events.

The ideal candidate has a engineering degree and 4+ years in SMT manufacturing with capital equipment, strong troubleshooting, and bilingual capabilities (Spanish or Japanese) as a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
• 4+ years SMT-manufacturing related experience (inspection-focused) with capital equipment support.

Responsibilities

• Maintain expert knowledge of the Omron inspection solution portfolio and quality standards.
• Maintain expert level knowledge of equipment operation and programming.
• Assist customers with equipment decisions and technical discussions.
• Assist the sales team with demonstrations, evaluations and promotional activities.
• Provide remote, phone and on-site customer support.
• Train customers and team members on technology-related topics.
• Crosstrain on SPI, AOI and AXI product categories.
